The origin of the "Anzan-mamori" (Safe Childbirth Amulet) traces back over 1,800 years to a miraculous legend. It is said that Empress Jingu, while pregnant and leading her people, placed sacred stones upon her waist to calm her child and ensure a safe birth upon her return.
Those very stones, known as Chinkaiseki, are enshrined here as our most sacred treasures. For centuries, our shrine has been a sanctuary where expectant mothers find peace, drawing strength from the Empress’s legendary resilience and the protective power of the stones.
